Technical Writer

The Technical Writer creates written documentation for our Systems simulation software, mainly Virtual Reality and Autonomous Driving Simulation Platforms. The Technical Writer works with Product Engineers and other Subject Matter Experts to collect technical data and transform it into comprehensive information for an international audience. The Technical Writer works simultaneously on multiple features and projects, in a fast-paced and agile environment with regular deadlines.

  • Ensure the availability of technical documentation (User Guides, Installation Guides and Release Notes) according to the software release cycle.
  • Liaise with Subject Matter Experts to collect information on software new functionalities.
  • Create new / update existing content in the Documentation Management System according to Product Specifications and feedbacks coming from customers, subsidiaries or collaborators (Support, QA, R&D, etc.).
  • Ensure content optimization and content reuse between products.
  • Standardize content throughout all product documentation using task-oriented and Minimalism principles.
  • Make sure the Documentation is translated on time by internal translator or Localization Service Providers.
  • Follow customers’ requests on the CRM and make sure Documentation is updated accordingly.

  • University Degree in Technical Writing or Information Design.
  • Minimums 3 years of experience in Technical Writing, including the following:
  • A significative experience with a Component Content Management System and modular content principles
  • An experience designing Task-oriented contents (preferably using DITA or DocBook)
  • Single-sourcing Authoring tools knowledge, with proficiency in XML creation and debugging
  • Have excellent English writing skills and able to speak with non-French speaking co-workers
  • CECRL C2 / BULATS 90+ / BRIGHT 4+ / IELTS 8+

  • Knowledge of DTD/ XSD and CSS/XSLT is a plus
  • Knowledge of a CAD tool is a plus (CATIA, NX, Spaceclaim, SolidWorks, etc.)
  • Eye for detail and conscientious
  • Well-organized and proactive
  • Customer oriented with a problem-solving approach
  • Good relational skills
