Software Developer I

The successful candidate will join a dynamic team responsible for research, design, and development of state-of-the-art software for electronics reliability analysis. ANSYS Sherlock is the only Reliability Physics/Physics of Failure (PoF)-based electronics design software. This award-winning software revolutionizes electronic design by empowering designers to simulate real-world conditions and accurately model PCBs and assemblies to predict solder fatigue due to a variety of environmental conditions.

• Collaborates and communicates with colleagues and teams in a geographically distributed organization.
• Uses Java, C++ and related programming languages and related software development technologies on Windows
• Develops and documents unit tests, APIs, and internal productivity tools
• Participates in the software development lifecycle by completing tasks within the requirements of the ANSYS development process
• Handles other job-related duties as may be assigned by management

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related engineering field
• Strong experience in Java development with JNI, Swing, Eclipse IDE
• Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps, C++ development, Git
• Ability to work independently, dig into code and reverse engineer to figure things out
• Ability to quickly adapt to different environments and technologies.

• MS in Computer Science a plus
• SQL with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Sqlite
• Apache, and Perl development
• Experience in Computer-Aided-Engineering software (FEM, FDM, etc)
