Senior Manager, International Tax

The Senior Manager, International Tax is a hands-on leader primarily responsible for the development and implementation of tax planning strategies and for directing the calculation and review of all aspects of U.S. international income taxes (subpart F, GILTI, FTC…) for compliance and quarterly financial statement reporting.

• Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies designed to mitigate tax risk while optimizing worldwide tax expense and cash taxes
• Research and document new and existing tax law and its application to ANSYS and to proposed transactions and initiatives
• Direct the calculation and analysis of information necessary to support earnings and profits, Subpart F inclusions, GILTI, CBC reporting, tax basis and foreign tax credit computations for purposes of tax compliance, quarterly financial reporting, and tax planning
• Ensure data accuracy for purposes of U.S. federal international income tax return compliance filings including, but not limited to, Forms 5471, 8858, 8975, 8992, and 1118 and necessary elections and statements
• Collaborate with the treasury function to manage global cash repatriation and planning
• Lead the Company’s initiative to implement and use tax reform software for purposes of calculating and tracking the various complexities resulting from the enactment of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017
• Supervise and develop international tax staff

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience in Public Accounting
• Minimum of 7 years of technical experience in corporate international taxation
• Strong technical and comprehensive knowledge of Internal Revenue Code
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must have strong organization skills and demonstrate an attention to detail
• Must show ability to multi-task and work well independently

• JD or MST strongly preferred
• Public accounting, Big 4 experience, preferred
• CPA preferred
• Experience in a multinational corporate tax department a plus
• Proficiency with ASC 740 and U.S. GAAP a plus
