Procurement Lead

The Lead Procurement Specialist will focus on the major expenditure categories in ANSYS, will support and implement strategic sourcing strategies to maximize the corporate spend and will be responsible for the development and oversight of a business division relationship and key vendor relationships for the business division they are responsible for. Position is an individual contributor and will report to the Sr. Sourcing Manager.

• Recommend and implement solutions for potential supplier standardization and consolidation
• Analyze ANSYS’ purchasing trends and recommend consolidation/change where appropriate
• Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers for contracts and agreements
• Perform basic contract management support and assist with operationalizing contractual/business terms with critical suppliers, when needed
• In coordination with Sourcing Manager, lead strategic sourcing efforts around key spend categories that result in cost containment/savings and/or value to the ANSYS business
• Build and lead cross functional teams, performing basic project management level tasks to negotiate new purchases and/or purchase renewals
• Stay abreast of prevailing industry trends in assigned commodities to maximize value for ANSYS, Inc.
• Coordinate with the Accounting group to ensure proper categorization, taxation, etc.
• Create purchase orders, and order placement with suppliers as needed
• Handle supplier inquiries and perform supplier relationship management
• Other duties as assigned by Sr. Sourcing Manager

• Minimum of 10 years of experience managing/negotiating with 3rd party suppliers, across various commodities, including but not limited to, IT, HR, and Marketing related products and services.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience performing contract management support
• Minimum of 10 year of experience building and leading cross functional teams to support purchasing projects using basic project management technics
• Demonstrated ability to source and negotiate high dollar commodities that have resulted in cost containment/savings and increased/improved business value
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to effectively work in a team environment and build strong, cross-functional relationships
• Excellent with multi-tasking, time management and workload prioritization, follow-up and execution of assignments
• Strong analytical, innovative, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Broad based indirect sourcing experience

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred
• Accounting experience a plus
• Knowledge of Oracle financial systems preferred
• CPM preferred
