Lead Discovery Product Evangelist

ANSYS Discovery is one of the most exciting software products in engineering today. Recently launched, it has been called “the most impressive software in decades” by the press and “a game changer” by customers. It promises to deliver true digital exploration for every engineer, profoundly changing product development.

We are looking for a lead technical product evangelist to join the team, to drive excitement and adoption globally. This is a great opportunity to join the global leader in engineering simulation and evangelizing the most exciting product in the portfolio.

The Lead Discovery Product Evangelist has global responsibility for development of product messaging and marketing content for ANSYS’ new Discovery product — and is also expected to be an external face for Discovery in both ANSYS and third-party communities. As a member of the Go-to-Market (GTM) team within the Design Business Unit (DBU), the Lead Discovery Product Evangelist works in partnership with other GTM team members, Product Management, Marketing, Sales, customers, and other stakeholders, to create compelling marketing content for this pioneering product. In addition to being a primary external evangelist for the product, the role includes helping to create other product champions both internally and externally.

• Understand and address the needs of (mechanical) design engineers and others who can benefit from ANSYS Discovery.
• Develop compelling videos, blogs, social media posts, customer success stories, white papers, and other content to excite customers and enable sales.
• Actively engage with select customers, industry influencers, press, etc.
• Build and nurture Discovery enthusiasts, in both ANSYS and third-party communities.
• Collaborate with highly-talented, dedicated professionals in marketing, product management, sales, and technical services.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related STEM field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in design engineering, CAD, CAE, or a related field
• Excellent communication (written & verbal) and presentation skills
• Proven ability to simultaneously manage work on multiple projects
• Proven track record of working with people in multiple job departments, functions, and geographic regions to understand and address customer needs

• Demonstrated ability to manage and create marketing content (videos, images, blogs, websites, etc.)
• Experience with audience marketing to product design engineers
• Experience with B2C and B2B marketing
• Experience with ANSYS Discovery Live, ANSYS SpaceClaim, and/or ANSYS AIM
• Experience with CAD and CAD-embedded simulation
• Experience with Adobe Premiere or a similar video editing tool
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop or a similar image editing tool
• Demonstrated ability to work with direct and indirect sales channels
