Director, Strategic Partnerships

The Director of Strategic Partnerships is responsible for leading key top-tier partnerships at ANSYS. This includes managing existing engagements to increase business value as well as seek new opportunities to expand those partnerships. These partnerships are key to the business growth at ANSYS and have a significant visibility to the executive management teams. This person will manage these strategic partnerships in alignment with the strategic priorities and goals of the company. Success in this role will be measured by ensuring delivery to the current plans of the partnership, driving both short-term and long-term objectives. You will be working closely with other internal stakeholders – sales, business units, corporate strategy, marketing, senior management to make this happen.

•Proactively manage the strategic partnerships to deliver on business targets
•Define and reinforce ANSYS requirements in alignment with senior management goals related to the strategic partners
•Influence a team of senior sales and technology professionals (ANSYS and partners)
•Maintain appropriate go-to-market plans with these partners in coordination with ANSYS business or product requirements
•Look for opportunities to expand the partnership
•Prioritize sales and product investments, and measure ROI results
•Orchestrate the execution of all elements of the partnership agreement
•Ensure that effective internal processes and legal frameworks are in place to manage the partnerships
•Represent ANSYS as an industry leader with partners, customers, and other audiences
•Ensure that our strategic partnerships and partnership processes are appropriately visible both internally and externally

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology
•15+ years of successful B2B partnership experience
•Demonstrated ability to manage partner programs, and drive execution to deliver results
•Proven track record of successfully building relationships and negotiating with senior executives across organizations
•Works on complex problems and provides out-of-the-box solutions
•Uses independent judgment to accomplish objectives
•Works independently and regularly provides status updates
•Knowledge of alliances development, management principles, and processes
•Experience with successfully negotiating and restructuring complex agreements
•Ability to travel as needed, including internationally – 30%
•Strong attention to detail, entrepreneurial, creative, open-minded, persistent and collaborative
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills
•Passionate about technology, partners, and the ANSYS business

•MBA preferred
•Previous work experience with a software technology company is desirable
•Work experience in a CAE customer facing role is a plus
