AV Specialist

An Audio Visual (AV) Specialist will be contributing to the business by providing reactive user support and strategic improvements and suggestions to the ANSYS Corporate AV. They will operate within given policies and procedures (including the relevant ANSYS Quality System procedures) but have a reasonable amount of discretion to take independent action. The focus for roles at this level will be to assist in the effective delivery of IT / AV support and contribute to global teams.

•Serve as Audio Visual / multimedia subject matter expert for ANSYS
•Support and verify conference rooms functionality daily or as schedule is required
•Provide regular preventative maintenance of presentation systems
•Coordinate any upgrade or repair activities with appropriate third-party vendor
•Oversight and loading of multimedia content for customer run of shows and client sessions
•Coordination of internal and external resources to deliver consistent, high-quality multimedia support in multiple corporate environments
•Consult on future technology needs and advise on emerging trends in digital media technologies
•Provide consultation and education to all levels of end users on presentation technologies
•Document processes for consistent application across multiple locations within a standardized environment
•Knowledge of Windows, MAC, Android, and IOS

•Associate’s Degree required
•A minimum of three years of experience in a professional service’s corporate environment
•Ability to demonstrate technical problem-solving skills
•Strong customer service and communications skills required
•Good organizational skills are required
•Knowledgeable in many presentation systems and software (i.e., PowerPoint, O365, Microsoft Teams, Webex)
•Knowledgeable in many system types (i.e., Polycom, Surface Hub, Crestron)

•Bachelor’s Degree in computer/technical related studies preferred
•Four or more years of experience in a professional service’s corporate environment AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification desirable
•Microsoft background is a plus
•Experience with Virtual Reality is a desirable
•Should be able to work on the phone and computer for an extended period of time
•Physical ability to move and set up various computing environments and access server rooms and technical closets which are not all barrier-free

•Must be able to lift upwards of 50 lbs
