Automotive Simulation Engineer (M/F)

SUMMARY

As part of a small team of experts, you will be challenged, hired for and trained to find solutions for the fast growing requirements of the automotive industry. As a support engineer located at the Optis Munich Office you will face diverse demands including Sensor MiL, SiL, HiL integration development. This includes case studies with prototypes and specifications for the development teams of Optis as well as industrial interface solutions to connect our physic simulation software products with common vehicle environment tool chains (e.g. CarMaker, SCANeR, CarSim, VTD)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting your small team in software solution projects
  • Researching and Analyzing given hardware platforms
  • Acquiring common simulation interfaces (e.g. OpenScenario, OSI, FEP)
  • Developing co-simulation interfaces
  • Acquiring quickly unknown 3rd party software API and SDK
  • Learning, Reporting, Sharing results from/to your team mates
  • Industrializing identified solutions

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A high motivation and good social skills are essential to address the team’s project goals.

  • University degree (Master’s or Bachelor) in the field of natural science, computer science or engineering.
  • Optical / Computer graphics, Electronical engineering background are a plus
  • Open minded and proactive
  • Fluency in English, German is an advantage
  • Excellent communication and ability to manage time effectively
  • Strong technical-oriented and team-building spirit, as well as a great thoroughness and attention to detail
  • Good programming skills (C / C++)
  • Good skills with Matlab and Simulink
  • Knowledge of Software Design Patterns
  • Experience in Rest-Bus-Simulation is an advantage (CAN, LIN)
  • Experience with CANoe is an advantage
  • Experience with CarMaker, VTD is an advantage
