Application Engineer II

SUMMARY
The Application Engineer (AE) is responsible for delivering industry-leading embedded software solutions for aerospace, military, automotive, and industrial customers.

The AE is a critical customer-facing team member that will collaborate with internal product and sales teams to deliver robust software solutions that meet the needs of current and prospective customers.
The job involves occasional travel to customers and industry conferences to deliver training and consulting.

RESPONSIBILITIES
•Delivers clear answers to customers, supporting their use of SCADE products for embedded software
•Delivers thorough technological training and advice for engineering teams
•Collaborates with engineers in a variety of technical roles, producing clear communications of customer needs and product solutions
•Develops strong relationships with key customer personnel at all levels
•Works closely with the customer to define projects and designs, along with identifying areas to be improved in the customer’s software processes
•Builds strong relationships with partners and effectively leverages their resources in deploying engineering results at customer sites
•Is an integral player in building strong, cohesive ANSYS and customer teams capable of successfully completing complex safety-critical projects

MINUMUM QUALIFICATIONS
•Strong programming skills in C and embedded software are required
•Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science; a Master’s Degree or higher is preferred
•Familiar with model-based design technology, including hardware, software, and prototyping solutions
•Must be able to enthusiastically learn new technology and adapt it to deliver robust software solutions
•Familiar with delivering software complying with international safety standards such as RTCA DO-178B, IEC 61508, ISO 26262, EN 50128, and DOD 2167A

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Business travel up to 25%, mostly US but with some travel to France is required
